PUBLIC HEALTH SURVEILLANCE

This course introduces graduate student to the infectious diseases. This course will emphasize both on clinical view point and public health perspective. Students are expected to learn the philosophy of quintessence of infectious disease epidemiology including the following major topics:1.Concepts and methods for infectious diseases. 2.Seroepidemiology for infectious diseases. 3.Vaccine for infectious diseases. 4.Evaluation the control measures for outbreak of infectious diseases.

Course Goal
A. To train public health professionals in order for having passion and expertise on public health theory and practice
B. To set up the academic and research society, and to create and disseminate the new knowledge on public health
C. To actively participate in national health issues, and promote sound public health system
