COMPUTATION OF FLUID MECHANICS

The course will cover the following topics: Numerical methods for solving the governing equation of fluid flows; Discretization techniques and solution algorithms; Finite difference solutions to classical model equations pertinent to wave phenomena, diffusion phenomena and equilibrium; von-Neumann stability analysis; Grid generation; Applications to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations.
