DIGITAL DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS

The Digital Design Fundamentals course will introduce students to the most common software used in the architectural profession while demonstrating their application throughout the architectural project. Students will be introduced to design techniques, methods, and applications and explore its influence on the practice of the architectural profession. The semester, arranged into five sections (Concept Design V Schematic Design V Design DevelopmentV Construction Documentation V Construction Administration) roughly analogous to typical architectural design project stages. At each stage, students will learn to implement CAD processes including precision 3D modeling, presentation drawing and rendering, diagramming, project coordination, documentation, etc.
